I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan when I was going into fourth grade. I graduated from East Grand Rapids High School with an emphasis in art and design. I am now attending Kendall College of Art and Design downtown Grand Rapids with a major in Photography, and a few classes in Collaborative Design. All of my life, until my junior year of high school, I wanted to be a doctor and move as far away from Michigan as I could. My ideal path completely changed once I fell in love with art and found it to be a creative outlet and escape from my daily norm. Now, I am so excited to make what I love my career and rest of my life.
In the past I have worked as a personal shopper which gave me the skill set to make connections with all different kinds people. Part of my job was to find common ground with people three or four times my age, and people who lived completely different lives than I do. My favorite part of this was not only getting to meet new people everyday and build those strong connections, but also being able to encourage and help people feel confident and beautiful in what they put on each day. This is also a massive reason why I love photography so much, because my mission in life is making people feel beautiful, and photographs can do that in so many different ways. Whether it's professional head shots, fun portrait sessions, senior photos, or weddings, photographs are such a special way to capture those beautiful memories.
